Domaine Xavier Wymann

Jean-Luc has been a winemaker for 25 years & is the third generation as his grandfather WYMANN Xavier started the winery in the fifties (~1950).
He has been producing organic wines since 1998 & a few cuvées of natural wines without any filtration & sulfites.
With 8 hectares, 30 plots in all, they are producing Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Muscat and Gewurztraminer.
During each year, Jean-Luc is in the wineyard during winter to prune & in spring to pull down the canes, repair, bend, bind & work the ground & the soil.
During summer they take care of the grapes as they observe the ripeness & bring a lot of love into their fields.
They spray when they see deceases but only with naturels products, so no chemicals in the vineyard.
Before the harvest they bottle the wines from last year to have place in the tanks for the new juice.
Always busy & always a keen and precise eye & touch.
